Skin Roller and microneedling - how does it work?
The microneedling method is a gentle way to stimulate the skin's own natural healing process and accelerate cell renewal by simulating an "injury" to the skin’s surface which in turn initiates various processes in the skin.
When you use your Skin Roller (also called dermaroller) hundreds of microneedles penetrate the upper layer of the skin which in addition to increased cell renewal, also contributes to increased production of collagen and elastin and an up to 300% better absorption of immediately following skin care products such as serum, face mask or oil.

Which needle head should I use for what?
Regardless of which needle head you use or whether you want to treat your face or body, the handle is compatible with all our needle heads.
- 0.2 mm Face - Perfect needle head for you who have sensitive and / or thin skin. Also recommended for younger skin for preventive purposes and for use on the skin around the eyes which is extra sensitive. Perfect for the beginner!
- 0.5 mm Face - Recommended for those who want maximum anti-aging effect. Perfect for reducing the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles, but also amazing for skin in need of tightening and firming effect.
- 0.5 mm Body - The same needle length as to the face but with a wider needle head to be able to cover larger areas on the body.
If you are unsure but curious, you can start treatment with Face 0.2 mm. When you feel comfortable, switch to Face 0.5 mm for maximum results. It is excellent to use the different needle heads on all parts of the body such as décolleté, hands or knees. Test for yourself and follow the instructions and routines carefully.

Hygiene is vital
Hygiene is of utmost importance when working with microneedling. Always make sure that your Skin Roller is clean before use and always store it with the included plastic cover over the needles. Always use Skin Roller on properly cleansed and dry skin.
For easy cleansing of your Skin Roller, we recommend that you use Sanitizing Spray 100ml (note not included).
How often should I use my Skin Roller?
To get maximum results from your treatment, it is important to have patience and to be consistent, that is when the results come. We recommend the following approach that applies to both face and body:
- Use the Skin Roller once a day (evening), for 3-5 days.
- Let the skin rest and recover for 3-5 days, then start again from the beginning with the treatment and then the rest days.
- This cycle should be repeated for 2 months followed by rest for at least 1 month.
- If you then want to start a completely new 2 month treatment, we recommend you to change to a new needle head to secure sharp and fresh needles. You can find all our separate Skin Roller needle heads here.
Step by step
- Perform your regular cleansing routine carefully and then dry the skin.
- Clean your Skin Roller with Sanitizing Spray before you start the treatment.
- Roll the Skin Roller back and forth over the skin with an even pressure for a total of 2-4 minutes. Add extra weight to problem areas and roll in different directions for best effect; vertically, horizontally and diagonally as well as from left to right.
- After using the Skin Roller, apply any serum, we suggest Reviving Face Serum, on the treated areas or all over the face. The microchannels that have been created by the needles are most receptive during the first 3-5 minutes. Wait preferably between 15-60 minutes before applying the next product.
- Feel free to use your serum even during the "rest days".
- Time to clean your Skin Roller. It is important that you clean your Skin Roller before and after treatment, we recommend that you use Sanitizing Spray 100ml.
- Store the Skin Roller with the plastic cover on between treatments.
Tip! Feel free to supplement with our Hyaluronic Microneedling Patches with 100% Hyaluronic acid, for extra local treatment effect, eg under the eyes or at the nasolabial folds.
