Why should I use SPF?

Sometimes you may wonder if it is really necessary with SPF or sunscreen (as it is called in Swedish) every day, all year round in all seasons. Yes, that's actually it. Now we will make sure to explain in a simple way exactly why.

We can start with a simple question for us to answer.

1. Why do you at Swiss Clinic do not have your own sunscreen product?

Right now we do not have our own sunscreen products in our range of skin care, but you should never say never. Our focus is on home treatments and results-oriented ones and our skin care series has been created because we know that you want to buy really good products that fit together with our home treatments. However, we recommend that you ALWAYS supplement with a sunscreen that you have chosen according to a recommendation for your specific skin type and according to the season.

2. Why is SPF good?

Well, because it protects against the sun's harmful rays of UVA and / or UVB rays.
UVA can be a cause of skin cancer and UVB can cause you to burn yourself in the sun, which can also lead to skin cancer.

3. How do I choose the right one?

Using something is better than nothing. But feel free to look for Broad spectrum SPF, then it protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

4. 20, 30 or 50?

A rule to follow may be to always choose as high sun protection as possible. But the most important thing is to get high in the summer, then it is to recommend an SPF between 30 to 50.

5. Any more tips?

Do not forget to repeat during the day, every two hours may be recommended. If you use products that make the skin extra sensitive, such as retinol or acids, which you can definitely continue with throughout the summer, remember to have a high SPF all year round. And one last thing, everyone needs SPF no matter what skin tone you have.
