A repairing and protective oil booster

Oh Mega Oil 8+ is formulated to focus on cell repair and works to rebuild the skin. Containing only vegetable polyunsaturated oils (oils from the plant kingdom), it has a caring effect on the skin. Either use it as an oil booster during the night or you choose to mix it with The Base+ for a repairing and protective day cream with natural glow. It both protects the skin and helps strengthen the skin's barrier – an oil that you will never regret adding to your skincare routine.

Key Ingredients – explanation:

  • Vitamin E – Is an oil that is easily absorbed and is ideal for dry and dehydrated skin. It helps increase collagen production and strengthens the skin's resilience. Vitamin E also contains antioxidants that protect against free radicals and has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • 8 different vegetable oils – Polyunsaturated oils have a caring, emollient and soothing effect on the skin.
  • Sunflower oil – Contains Omega 6 which helps dry skin.
  • Rosehip oil – Stimulates cell renewal in the skin and contains natural vitamin A acid (retinoic acid) which can help with acne.
  • Wheat germ oil – An oil that is rich in vitamins and minerals, mainly vitamin E which helps to slow down skin ageing and gives a natural glow.
  • Black cumin seed oil – Nutritious oil full of antioxidants.
  • Evening primrose oil – Rich in Omega 6, which has nourishing, moisturising and soothing properties on the skin.
  • Rapeseed oil – Contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 that work together to both moisturise and protect the skin from external stresses.
  • Sea buckthorn oil – Has a rich content of vitamins, antioxidants and omega fatty acids and also a high content of omega 7, an important fatty acid that works to repair, balance and moisturise the skin.
  • Sunflower oil – Restores the skin's naturally protective lipids (fats) without clogging.

Swiss Clinic Oh Mega Oil 8+

Our most caring and emollient booster in the The Base+ series: Oh Mega Oil 8+ is an oil booster that contains as many as 8 different types of omega oils and vitamin E that has a softening property in the skin. We call this booster a "repair oil" for the skin. Oh Mega Oil 8+ boosts your skin with vitamins, moisture and also strengthens your skin barrier.

Oils in skincare

Oils keep the skin soft and supple and maintain the moisture balance in the skin. They also provide the skin with nutrition, minerals and vitamins. Use oil in your skincare routine if your skin is dry and needs to be softened.

Tip! If you like to treat yourself to a facial massage, use Oh Mega Oil 8+ as a massage oil. It does not dry on the skin and you can massage for a long time.

When do you use oil in your skincare routine?

When you are going to apply your skincare, you can always think "thinnest first". Start with cleansing, then continue with toner / essence, then apply a serum / booster that is usually more active and concentrated than a cream, then apply your cream and finish with the oil. You can also mix your cream and oil to get a more caring and emollient face cream.

What is the difference between an oil and a serum?

The big difference is that serums often contain active ingredients and oils are good fats that nourish the skin with good fat and antioxidants to make the skin feel as good as possible. A serum / booster is lighter in consistency and contains smaller molecules, which means that they can penetrate deeper into the skin. An oil is quite thick in consistency and is therefore added as a final step in a skincare routine.
